OnSite Resources CEO, Margot King, Receives Enterprising Women Award

Margot King Named Top Entrepreneur 2008 by Enterprising Women Magazine

January 25, 2008 — ATLANTA, GA – Margot King, Founder and CEO of OnSite Resource Solutions, has been recognized as a top woman entrepreneur by Enterprising Women Magazine.  She was named one of the top women entrepreneurs in the 2008 awards for companies in the $1-5 million dollar revenue range.  The award was given in recognition for King’s outstanding leadership of OnSite Resource Solutions, a company that has seen incredible growth during their short four year history, and for her invaluable contributions to the community.

King was selected from what the magazine says was an unprecedented number of nominations of outstanding women entrepreneurs, so the women named “are very deserving of this recognition,” stated Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine.  “Award recipients have fast-growth businesses, they mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and they stand out as leaders in their communities,” Smiley added.

Besides leading OnSite Resource Solutions to double digit growth every year, King is a very active volunteer in the Atlanta area, where she currently serves on the board of Women in Technology Foundation (WITF).  She has also served in a leadership for other non-profits including Women’s Commerce Club (WCC), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Atlanta Women’s Network (AWN), and YWCA .  In addition, King served as a communications trainer and taught interviewing skills to economically disadvantaged teens competing for corporate internships through Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin’s Youth Program and is an active member of Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), and the Atlanta History Center Members’ Guild.
